• Accommodation style – Bed & Breakfast, Guest House, Hotel – in town, village or country
Scottish Cultural Seminars – conducted in language of your preference – choice of themes:
e.g. life in Scotland today; history and tradition; literature, folklore and legend; music, song & dance; famous Scots; natural beauties – landscape & wildlife, flora & fauna; industry – agriculture & forestry, whisky, woollens, fisheries
‘Language Plus’ activities:
• Visits to sites of cultural, historical and natural interest:
e.g. a city tour of Edinburgh, the castles,villages & coastline of East Lothian, seek the Holy Grail in Rosslyn Chapel, the Border Abbeys, a trip into the Highlands, visits to museums & galleries, a whisky distillery, a glass factory, a farm or forest.
• Leisure pursuits:
e.g. golf, a boat trip, hill walking, watersports, a ceilidh dance, theatre, the Musselburgh Races, Edinburgh International Festival
